Halloween All week long --- read from bottom to top

Then on Saturday, much to Jake's protest at driving in the rain, we went up to my cousin Jen's house. We got to hang out with her and Mike and her family stopped by too. It was fun to see cousins.





On Wednesday Jake's work was having a Fall Retreat - dinner and party at the Corn Maze for developers and their families. It was a lot of fun but super muddy from an earlier snow fall. By the time we started the corn maze it was completely dark. Chayla had just fallen asleep and I was holding her the whole time and trying not to slip. We ended up coming out the same way we went in and not finding the exit at all. My favorite part of the corn maze was being a "ghost" from Pac Man trying to chase one of the other kids there. (I say other kids meaning other than me :)

On Tuesday night was our ward Munch Mingle and Monster Mash - which we are partly in charge of because we are on the activities committee. It turned out really well. We did a potluck and each group did a game room for kids. There were so many cute costumes but of course my favorite was Chayla's - a Peanut M&M. She fell asleep in the middle of everything and slept for about an hour even though it was way noisy.

We went with B/L/K (the Nymans) to the duck park by our house and took family pictures for them and Chayla's 5 month pix. It was really fun and so pretty with the leaves changing colors. There were so many cute ones I couldn't narrow it down very well. So here's a bunch!

Milestones for Chayla's 5 month:

She figured out how to drink out of a bottle again :) She will actually drink from it instead of just chewing on the nipple

She will also take a pacifier for a little while

She is sitting up much better and can sit without help for almost a minute

She can hold her own bottle but not tip it back

She found her voice! and is very loud sometimes

She likes the sound she makes when you mover your finger back and forth across her lips

She had rice cereal for the first time.

She laughs a lot and doesn't cry as much when new people hold her)

She had a huge blowout on a neighbor at church :(

Can pass things from hand to hand

composed her first song on the keyboard
