The past couple of months

The past couple of months have been a whirlwind. Chayla is growing so fast. To me she seems to be so big and chubby already. I have to remind myself that she is still only about 8 lbs which is smaller than some newborns. I love that she started out so small. Some major landmarks - Last week on Monday, June 21st she officially smiled for the first time! Now she smiles more and more each day and I LOVE it! Then today she rolled from her back to her tummy for the first time. She is learning and growing fast. She is pretty good at holding her head up and has started grabbing onto things and holding tight - like my hair :) Sometimes she stares at her hands while she is eating. She is more interested in looking at things. She loves watching the fish mobile on the swing go around and around and she will follow a picture or person as it moves back and forth. She is also sleeping better - most nights- staying asleep for 4 hours at a time on average. She does have some kind of skin condition I'm kinda worried about. Her face is blotchy red and has a bunch of bumps on her cheeks and by her eyebrows. They don't seem to bother her though. So far she is a very happy baby and we are happy to have her.
