Lee came over on the 15thand we tried some new recipes. We made Risotto and meatloaf. It was amazing! I'd never had risotto before and wasn't sure what to expect but it was a fluffy rice with sweet potato and crumbled bacon and lots of flavor. The meatloaf was also delicious and we made a double batch so we could freeze it for another time. The little girls had fun playing together and it was funny how much Kaidrei liked playing with the floor mat.

Oct 11th Weekend cont.
On Monday, Jake took a vacation day and stayed home to play with us girls. It was way fun. We slept in, had a nice lazy morning, and then went to lunch and then costco. We had lunch at the Olive Garden and Chayla was an angel. In fact I think its her favorite restaurant - judging by the way she was licking her fingers when we put breadsticks in front of her :)

Milestones
Hanging out with Nicole and Paige - my babysitters!
Chayla has been sleeping better - even slept thru the night a couple of times, but not consistently. One really exciting event happened last Friday Oct 1. She actually sucked on the bottle while at the babysitters house. She drank 4 oz. in 10 minutes. This inspired me to try the pacifier with her again and she took it and was able to hold on to it.
My math professor use to say that there's a sucker born every minute :) I'm so glad she's finally figured it out again.

October Conference
Uncle Randon and me
Talking to Gma Stead and Uncle Randon
Sleeping during conference.
Wow! What a great weekend! Unfortunately I didn't take pictures of it all :( Conference was amazing. Especially the part where we got to watch it in our pajamas. I love feeling the spirit when I watch conference and I always have a renewed sense of purpose and make new goals and start fresh.
On Saturday after conference we went north. Jake went to Sandy where he got to watch the priesthood session with his dad and bro Jesse and then hang out with his family. I took Chayla with me up to SLC and we got to visit with my mom, 3 bros, and the Mackey family - good friends from California. It was so much fun. We get to see them about once every 3 years.
Life is good, the Church is true and I love my family!

Haircut!
Today I donated my hair to Locks of Love. I always liked my hair long because i thought it was pretty but lately I haven't been taking time to do anything with it and it's so yuck. Plus Chayla pulls on it, sticks it in her mouth and it gets everywhere. I decided that someone will love it more than me and I was excited to try a new adventure. So I went short and i absolutely LOVE it! I should have done this forever ago.

September 24th Sleepover Party
Jesse came to spend the night with us and we had a party. I had planned on driving down to cedar city with my bro Roman but his clutch died so I got to stay home and hang out. It was fun. Chayla helped me make brownies while the boys tried to play video games. We had popeye pancakes for breakfast - played more video games and went to an Elder's Quorum BBQ for lunch. They made Brazilian food. Chicken wrapped in bacon, garlic sirloin, grilled pineapple, even little cheese puffs and ice cream with fruit - just like Tucanos. Then they played 2 truths and a lie. Here's mine
1. I've never been out of the country.
2. I've eaten a cricket.
3. I've had knee surgery.
Can you guess which 2 are true and which is the lie?
